RV Repair: RV Refridgerator Problem, gfi outlet, heating element

Hell'o, I've been redoing a 1977 Jamboree Class C, I wanted to check to see if the Fridge worked,but when I plugged it in to an outlet that I am using to run my power tool's it pop's the GFI outlet that I am using(not the one in the Motorhome)but the one at the service panel.Can you tell me what might be happening ?

Hi Paul.
 The heating element in the refrigerator should only draw 2.5 amps. I would say you have a dead short, open ground, or a loose neutral wire. It should not do that. Ck connections and grounds. Trace the path of electricity to the element. If all looks ok then try a new heater.
