RV Repair: RV Air Conditioner, vent assembly, advance god

Question
Hi we have a 2003 travel trailer with a roof top Coleman Mach A/C. 2 Intermitent problem's of the breaker popping off and the unit is cold but at times the air no longer blows through the vents. I went up & looked when the air stopped blowing and the fan & fan motor was working fine. I checked for loose wires and also tighted all wires behind the thermostat as well. This is odd and I haven't been able to figure it out. Can you please help me. Thanks in advance & God Bless, Jamie

Answer
Hi Jamie,
Sound to me like it is freezing up. This can be caused by to things. One, a bad compressor. Lets hope not. The other thing is easy to fix. Remove the lower vent assembly located in inside the coach and use a flash light to inspect the fins up inside the AC. Use a wire brush to clean the fins and a vacuum to suck out the dust dirt and junk. Replace the filters. Resemble the uint and test it. If it is ok then celebrate. If not, you will have to take I into a shop. Good luck, and God Bless you too!!
