RV Repair: Dometic Refrigerator, circuit board assembly, refrigerator work

Question
My RM2652 refrigerator works well on propane.  When it is operating on AC the heater element works and the freezer functions properly, but the refrigerator section only cools to about 60 degrees.

One of your earlier responses mentions a thermistor inside the refrigerator on the cooling flange (I think) but I can not see one nor does the parts manual indicate it.  I have replaced the circuit board assembly and connected the thermistor conductor.

Any ideas, my wife does not like 60 degree milk.

Thanks

Hi Fred:
The refrigerator uses exactly the same cooling system whether you are using propane or AC to do the heating. If it works well on propane and not on AC the only problem can be the efficiency of the AC heat coil. Get a new heating coil and install it. The heat coil is located on the side of the round heat tube outside on the left side. The coil is located about in the middle of the tube and has two wires connected to it that run to the board. It just pulls out after you take out a small retaining screww. The old one just does not produce enough heat to make the refrigerator work. Good luck. I am not fond of 60 degree milk either.
