I am doing a repair job on the toilet( flush capabilities) and cannot seem to remove the seat to access the plumbing so I can change a seal in the flush mechanism. I have removed all screws from underneath, but still cannot remove it. As if it was sealed on. It is a 77 Broughm Class C M/H. Can you help me. Maybe with a schematic/diagram of some sort. Thank you

Leon,
What brand and model # toilet are you working on?  Let me know and I will see what I can do.  Thanks
Darren  Hello, Darren, thanks for gettin back with me. I do not know the brand of toilet, for I do not have the service documents of this motorhome. I do know that it is the type that has a round knob, just to the right of the lid, that fits flush with the body.It is about 2.5-3.0 inches round and has a raised area across the circumferance, for gripping. When turned to the right(clockwise) the trap opens up and with further turning (of the knob) water is released into the bowl.I have been able to remove the knob and access some of the parts, but the bowl cover is preventing additional needed access to the rest of the mechinism, to replace a seal. Should there be a number somewhere on the toilet. And if so let me know,so I can possibly resolve this matter. Thanks again.

Answer
Leon,
It sounds like you have a Aqua Magic III made by Thetford.  I checked their website but they don't have a breakdown for that model online.  You can call Thetford's highly-responsive Customer Relations Department toll-free at 1-800-521-3032, weekdays between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (EST).  They should be able to send you an exploded view.  All of their toilets are easiest to work on if you remove the water line and remove the toilet from the flange.  With that toilet being 27 years old I would consider replacing it with an Aqua Magic V.  I hope this helps and good luck with your repair.
