RV Repair: onan 4.0 generator, rv repair and maintenance manual, mail questions

Question
just bought 1984 fleetwood jamboree
class c, ford e-350, my generator
did not wont to run,( I'm a G.M.
dealer mechanic ) checked the basic
stuff, found carb. full of dirt, so
I rebuilt carb. and changed oil &
filter, replaced spark-plugs & air-
filter,it know runs great. this
camper was not used much, was stored
indoors,my problem is that I'm not
real familiar with campers or there
componets. when I start the generator from inside the camper,
none of the major appliances will
power up.is there a transfer switch
I'm over looking?, all appliances
work when I plug the camper in.
started to think about it,I checked
ALL fuses, all good,double checked
with a DVOM. when I plug the camper in the power inverter buzzes,(normall noise) I thought by
starting the generator it should
power up the inverter ,I'm confused ,  please give your opinion, if more info needed just e-mail questions,, will be waiting for
reply,, THANK YOU,, -also- is there
a service/repair manual for this rv

Answer
Most RV's have to be "plugged into themselves" to power components.  Look for a large electrical receptical somewhere around where the power cord is stored, it should be inside the same compartment.
"RV Repair and Maintenance Manual" by Bob Livingston is a good resource for RV owners, I use one all the time.
