Answer
Pete,

It is pretty rare for the vent pipe to break but if that's the case the easiest way is to follow it down and find somewhere that you can cut it and add a coupling.  Remove the vent cap from the roof, cut the vent pipe and pull it out through the hole in the roof.  Cut a replacement piece (allowing for the coupler) and slide it back in to place and put a new cap assembly over it.  If it broke at the tank itself and you can't get to the top of the tank where it is you will have to remove the tank from the unit.  This will also require cutting the vent pipe as well as the drain line that goes into the tank.  This can be quite a task on some trailers so you should look it over pretty good before you decide to tackle it.  Hopefully the first solution is all that will be needed to get you fixed.  Good luck.
