Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda ex 1000, honda engines, spareparts

Question
I am trying to remove the carburetor from the unit so I can soak it.  I disassembled to the point where the carb is exposed on two long screws.  I try to pull it off but it wont budge.  I don't want to pry it don't want to damage it.  What am I missing.  Can't find a manual or photo, can you help?

Thanks, Stan

Here is a link for parts lookup.  You will have to find the model
numbers off of the tag of the mower, or else the numbers on the
side of the engine block.
As far as being stuck on, I have seen some of them stuck on
pretty good, and a little rapping, and light prying might be
needed.
Soaking is not really needed, just removal of the jets up in the column that the bowl nut screws into.  Having the correct screwdriver is a must, as the jet up in there is brass, and easily
damaged.  You need a straight flat tipped screwdriver that totally fills the slot, so you should take the carb with you to the hardware store.  The jet above that one will fall out with some tapping.
Clean them thoroughly, and reassemble.
