Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Chain oiling problem, air bubbles, oil bar

Homelite XL 12, UT # 100803, Ser. # 382980042, recently purchased.  Manual oiler does not adequately oil bar.  When pumped, can see air bubbles coming up around chain.  Occasionally there is a good pump of oil.  With bar off, can see some oil coming out hole.

Answer
The first thing I try is I dump out the oil tank, then I fill halfway
back with fuel mix, shake, dump, repeat.
Then I put some more fuel in and then run the saw with the bar/chain off and watch that hole.  Most times this will break up the clogs of
gunk.  Give that a try and let me know what you see.
