Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman Edger, hydraulic lifters, sae 30

Question
John,  Can you help me with identifying what kind of oil do I need to use for the Craftsman Edger model 536.871300?  Also, can you help me with the spacing for the spark plugs?

I also had a question about a Weed Eater model XT - 50T.  Can you tell me the kind of oil I should use for it, and the spacing for the spark plug?

Thank you

Answer
Generally all small engines should use a good grade of sae 30, some
newer engines with hydraulic lifters need 10w30, but never, ever,
use 10w40, it can break down and destroy your engine.
The edger should take a Champion J17lm or J19lm, gapped at .030, the
weedeater should take a CJ14 gapped at .030 as well.
