Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda ht3813, switch jumper, jumper wire

Question
My HT3813 shuts off as soon as it is taken out of neutral or  as soon I try to
turn the bade on.  It has a safety shut off for when someone isnt in the seat.
Its like the tractor isn't recognizing someone is in the seat.  If I bring it out of
neutral but quickly replace back to neutral the motor fires up again before
turning off.  This seems like a bad switch or relay with the safety shut off,
what do you think.  Thanks-Joe

Answer
Hello Joe:

>>You are Correct. The Safety System is Not Recognizing Anyone in the Seat.
>>The Following is the Instruction File for Checking the Seat Safety Switch.
>>***PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHECKING THE SAFETY SWITCHES IS JUST THAT!!! FOR CHECKING ONLY.***
>>I NEVER Suggest a Mower be Operated with a Safety Device or Switch Disconnected or Bypassed. **Make Sure the Switch has a Good Connection. Now; On Some Model Mowers you can Simply Unplug the Safety Switch from the Harness. On Other Models you have to Place a Jumper Wire Between the Harness Terminals (on the 4 Post Switch Jumper from Same Color Wire to Same Color Wire). The Seat Safety is Showing No One is Seating in the Seat when the Clutch or Blades are Engaged.**
>>You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower/Engine at this Site Addy, http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram... and Select the Catalog American Honda.
