Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): JD 116 drive belt adjustment, clutch pedal, model number

Question
My drive belt needs adjusting. It is hard to shift and won't stop when the clutch pedal is pushed in all the way. I can't seem to find the adjustment.

If you begin at the pedal and follow the linkage all the way back you should find an adjustment. Now some older mowers and even some new ones don't have a adjustment. If it does it should be rather easy to see. If you go to: https://jdparts.deere.com   go to parts look-up, and enter your model number, you'll get a blown up view without having to climb under it......Tom
