Towing Issues: proper towing, tow dolly, lift tow

what is the proper way to have a chevy s-10 towed what are the right and wrong ways so as not to damage engine and or transmission thank you

If the truck is a two wheel drive, the you could tow it from the rear with a wheel lift tow truck. If it is a manual transmission then you could tow it in neutral from the front. An auto trans would require you to put dollies under the rear wheels or you would need to remove the driveline in order to tow it from the front. A flatbed tow truck would be best for a 4 wheel drive, but it is not absolutely necessary. If youre talking about towing the truck yourself, then a tow dolly would be best and again you would need to remove the driveline.
