Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): CUB CADET WONT SHUT OFF, key switch, starter switch

Question
I own a 1988 Cub Cadet Model 1210 (12 hp Kohler) lawn tractor (model, etc, at end of email).  Recently, the unit starts fine, but cannot be turned off without pulling the plug wire.  I replaced the start key switch and the problem remains.  There is a disconnectd wire near the starter that has a wire clip on the end (I think it comes from the yellow wire leaving the starter switch). I have looked and cannot find anywhere to attach this clip.  I tried grounding this wire to the frame and the problem remains. The numbers on the tractor are: 148620100

Take off the engine cover to expose the flywheel and the magneto. On the magneto you should see a small spade connector that should have a ire on it.If the wires is missing look around there for the wire. If that wire is still there trace it back to the key switch, this is the engine kill switch.Make sure that this is hooked up.
