QUESTION: John,

Thanks for the parts diagram.  It was very helpful.  I see how to adjust the belt on the I4200 thrower.  But how do I know how much tension should be on the belt?  Right now the belt is slack when the idler pulley is not engaged.  HOw slack should it be and how much tension should be on it when I depress the blower lever?  Is there a service manual that shows the proper tension, etc?

Larry

Answer
Hello Again Larry:

The Belt Tension should be Enough to Operate the Unit and Not Slip. Usually I Engage the Belt and Then Tighten the Idler as Tight as Possible. Then When the Tension is Released, the Slack is Automatically Set. I have Never Located a Manual that has Any Tension Numbers in it. I have a Tensionometer and Use it Rarely.
