Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): honda gx670 idle adjustment, adjustment screws, question pool

Question
Ben I have a Honda gx670 and I need to know how to adjust the idle speed. Also can I get a stiffer governor spring for this motor to increase my load rpms? The parts houses I have contacted said they can't tell which spring is stiffer by the part#. Gx670 TAFX GCAM 1002747 Thanks Mike

Answer
Hello Mike:

Sorry for the Delay. This Question was Located in the Question Pool. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower/Engine at this Site Addy, http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram... and Select the Catalog American Honda. The Adjustment Screws are Located in the Controls File. Breakdown #s 21 and 22 are the Adjustment Screws. The Spring is #3. I Suggest you Shorten the Spring if there is No Adjustment for tightening the Spring. Remember Not to Shorten it too Much. Usually you can Get the Desired RPM from Adjusting the Control Adjustment Screws. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
