Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Stihl Hedge Trimmer, stihl hedge trimmer, small plastic containers

Question
We have a Hedge TRIMMER AS MENTIONED ABOVE and the little gas tank holds 1.4 gallons of fuel. the book says that we need a ratio of 1 to 50 of oil to gas. Can you tell us the easiest way to measure how to fill the tank.?

Answer
Hello Bill:

Purchase the 2 Cycle Oil in a Container Marked for Mixing 1 or 2 Gallons of Gas for a 50:1 Ratio. Make Up 1 or 2 Gallons at the Time and Use Gas Stabilizer so the Mixture will Last for at Least 1 Year. Remember to Shake the Mixture Each Time Before you Fill the Trimmer. I have Several Small Plastic Containers that I Use for Filling the 2 Cycle Equipment from. Each Container has a Fill Nozzle and Holds the Exact Amount of Fuel Mix Required to Fill the Tank. This Works Better for Filling the Equipment as I have Less Fuel Mixture Spillage when the Equipment is Filled with Fuel. I Also Mix 4 Gallons of 2 Cycle at a Time as I Use that Much in a Day. Stihl Offers No Support in the Way of Breakdowns or Manuals for Online Viewing. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
