Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Toro GTS 6.5 flywheel key, steering wheel, crankshaft

Question
Hi John,
I was posting a follow-up question with Michael, but the site says he is "maxed out"--so I hope you don't mind taking it.
It appears my Toro (6.5 hp Tecumseh) has a sheared flywheel key, and I am having a tough time removing the flywheel. I got the nut off fine, but the flywheel will not budge despite my best efforts with a large 3-claw puller. I am afraid if I lean any harder on the wrench I will crack the flywheel. Any suggestions?
Thank you kindly.
Andy

Answer
 Hello Andrew:

No Worries. We are All here to Assist you. Have you Hit the Puller to Jar the Flywheel? Also I Suggest you Use a Steering Wheel Puller. This Puts the Pressure at the Crankshaft, where the Force of the Puller is at its Maximum. Hitting the Puller Jars the Crankshaft and Flywheel and the Flywheel will Pop Up. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
