Steering Column Repair: 1989 delta 88, delta 88, video index

the steering column on my '89 Delta 88 was loose,the repair guy did a quick fix and put a push button start switch instead. 3 months later the vehicle did not want to start, the (same) repair guy said the whole column had to be replaced, in a matter of seconds he took the whole dash apart and left, he said he would. be right back It's been a week and he has  not come back, he doesn't answer my calls. the car sits with a dash strung out, am I better off junking the vehicle? should I attempt to have it sent to a      repair shop? Is it something I can attempt to fix?

Sorry about your car.  There is no way for me to know what your best solutions would be.  All I can do is offer you some video of how to rebuild the column, but if it's been compromised before this, you probably can't rebuild it properly.

you will have to decide if the car is worth towing and repairing or junking.
