I HAVE A 1975 CHEV 4X4TRUCK WITH A 700R4 TRANS WITH OD .THE COLUMN ISFOR A 3 SPEED .WILL NEWER 4SPEED COLUMN FIT

I believe the newer column will work, but obviously you will have more detents (gear positions) than the original.  Some of the things you need to pay attention to though are if the floor mount is the same.  Is the distance from the floor mount to the dash the same?  Is the wiper switch connector identical to the original?  Does the gearshift selector clear the dash in all positions?

Just about anything can be made to work, but if you are asking is it a swap out plug and play, I would suggest you check with a local salvage yard.  They have the interchange books that we do not
