Steering Column Repair: left rear turn-stop-flasher not working, multiswitch, signal circuit

Question
Left rear turn-stop-flasher not working. Left front/right front/right rear are working. Fuse/bulb good. No power to only left rear socket. Is it the multi-function switch needs to be replaced.

Answer
Hi Victor:
It sounds like it could be the multiswitch, but You need to do a couple of things first.  I need to know what kind of vehicle you have (year, make & model) and then you need to check (with a test light) if there is power coming out of the multiswitch harness at the bulk connector.  Switch form left to right and probe the wires so you know which ones are for the left side and which ones are for the right side.  There should be at least 1 hot wire all the time, and when the switch is engaged, 2 flashing wires for each side.
Once you tell me what kind of car, I may be able to come up with a schematic to identify which wires should be hot (or flashing)   You can also do this test of the switch with the 4 ways as they send power out the same wires to the lights as the turn signal circuit.
