Steering Column Repair: steering column, 1988 gmc s15, sierra truck

My 1988 GMC S15 High Sierra truck has a loose steering column. When you turn the wheel, the whole assembly wants to turn. We removed the steering wheel, but cannot see how to access the inner column to see what needs to be tightened. Please help.

this takes special tools do get down where the ribbets are they would  have to be pressed out . i would say go to a sallavge yard for 75 dollors you by the complete colluim on plug and pulls wright out remove the 4 bolta on botton of colluim . trying to repair the old one is a big head ace on less you work with colluims such as i do every day and spened a lot for tools . good luck to u pete and if you do need more help just let me know pete
