Suzuki Repair: 92 Geo Metro Transmission, proper designation, geo metro

Question
Hi, I was driving my car when I heard a noise like something was dragging on the road, and my car started to jerk.  I stopped and noticed that my transmission is leaking fluid, I hardly made it home because the car was jerking badly and I had to drive really slow otherwise the car would switch to neutral on its own.  The next day none of the gears work, the car is stuck in park no matter what gear you put it into, I tried to push it by putting it to neutral first but it will not go because the front wheels are locked, (this dosn't matter what gear you put it into).  I tried to add tranny fluid but it leaks out right away as soon as you start the car, and it will not engage into gear anymore.  I didn't have a good view where its coming from but it looks like its coming from a gap or crack of some sort between the engine and the transmission.  This is an auto 3spd tranny, and I never had problems with it, it was always smooth until this day. What could the problem be? Do I need a new transmission? What can be done to further troubleshoot the problem?

Thanks, Rad.

Answer
It sounds relatively serious, and the next thing you need to do is to get it inspected in person by a knowlegable and skilled technician.  Unfortunately, to assist further in the diagnosis, I need to have the parts described by their proper designation.  The fact that trans fluid pours out of the bottom is, however a rather ominous symptom, and implies that the transmission case is broken, which usually indicates major failure.  If you need more help, don't hesitate to contact me again.
