Towing Issues: Mistakenly towed vehicle, small claims court, apartment manager

Question
Hi, I live in Fort Collins, Colorado and my roommate's car was mistakenly towed by our landlord.  She says its because she is trying to send a message to the people who have been parking in our lot and do not live here.  The situation is that he doesn't drive his car very often because he carpools to work.  The landlord said she put a notice on the car yesterday and it wasn't until 11:30am today that we found out about it.  The girl next door came by to make sure it wasn't ours and when I told her it was, she was very apologetic.  She went and took the sticker off the car and said she was going to call the landlord to make sure it wasn't towed.  Well when we got home later, it was towed and the landlord is refusing to pay for towing her tenant's car.  Is there anything we can do?

Answer
Well removing the sticker does not stop the tow from happening. The apartment manager did not "SEE ACTION" which means the vehicle did not move and they were not contacted to tell them it was "YOUR VEHICLE" by you...

As to the manager or management paying the fees, well as a rule that is not going to happen...

As to what you can do, well talk works at times.
Then there is the small claims court route...

Good luck
