Towing Issues: tow bill, storage fees, tow company

Question
I have been talking with a gentlemen about purchasing his
vehicle which has been towed and in storage for about a month.  If I purchase this vehicle and show the bill of sale and title to the Tow Company, and I responsible for the tow bill or is the previous owner responislbe.  We are in Little Rock, AR.  Thanks for any assistance you can give me.

Well the vehicle owner is responsible for towing and storage fees, and as such that would be the previous owner... But most tow companies do understand that vehicles do get sold and such.

How I would make sure that the tow company knows what is happening and of course they will want the fees paid before it leaves the yard.


I think it would work, but make sure that everyone understands who is responsible for the outstanding fees.
