Towing Issues: towing issue, city of new london, expired plates

my car was towed for expired plates can i retrieve my car with
from the towing company with dealer plates state of conneticut
city of new london

well dealer plates, if I understand the proper usage of them correctly, are for test driving vehicles and or delivery or transfer of vehicles...

They are not to be used in place of regular plates in order to avoid paying taxes or license fees..

Now depending on the vehicle laws in Connecticut, which I could not find specific information on dealer plate use, it would depend on the tow company and the proof of ownership papers...

And if it was towed by the police for the expired plates then it would be depending on what conditions they are giving the release papers so you can pick up the vehicle...

I am sorry, but I could not really find information on this kind of question ...
