Towing Issues: already paid and they want it back, legal recourse, math mistakes

Question
My car was towed a few days ago in Portland, Oregon. I went to the impound today with a release form from the city and proof of title and registration. The worker at the impound was fairly inept, and while he charged me and gave me a reciept for the car, I noticed he made several math mistakes. I paid the amount he told me to pay, though the true amount, if added correctly would have been almost 200 dollars more.
Tonight I got a call from the towing company saying my car was still "under arrest" unless I brought back the  release form and the car. He then said they would tow it if they found it. This sounds really suspicious. Of course I'm not dumb enough to bring the car back to the impound, but I was wondering if they have any legal recourse. It seems to me theyre just trying to cover their mistake and get me to pay the rest of the money. I have a reciept fromt the tow yard, and no beef with the city. Do they have the right to tow me again without a parking violation? Also, do they have any abilty to make me pay additional fees, debts or whatever through creditors or any other nasty type sorts?

thanks

Answer
The City of Portland has a towing review board and also a department which oversees the towing businesses...

I would contact them and explain the issue with them...

From what is sounds like, the tow company is doing exactly what you said and is trying to cover their tail...

But possession of the receipt marked paid is going to be a strong point in your favor, despite what the tow company says.
