Towing Issues: HANDICAPPED TOWING, handicapped parking, handicapped children

sOMEONE towed my moms car which has my handicapped parking pass in it and my wheelchair. can they tow it when I am in the store? the car was parked in a tow away 4-6 but I thought handicapped children were exempt?

Laws differ between Cities and States... I have neither one to refer to in trying to answer this question...

But just because it has a handicapped pass on it does not always mean that it is legal to park anywhere...  The parking passes do have rules to follow also, and in some Cities they can and do tow handicapped vehicles just like others for violating the laws... And to add insult the the whole thing, I have heard of some rules where the vehicle will have the handicapped permit taken away for abuse of the parking pass.


Handicapped parking is a "WHOLE DIFFERENT BALL GAME" and its hard enough to keep up on this issue along with the others I deal with daily.
