Towing Issues: My car was towed from my parking garage, illegal parking, location parking

Question
Is the garage managment legally correct for towing my vehicle from the garage which i make monthly payments for. there are no signs at the entrance of the garage or no where else stating that vehicles will be towed. I arrived late 3:30 am on Sun 3/9/08 and there were no parking spaces so I parked near a wall in the parking garage but it was not blocking anyone or impeding any movement. Was the parking garage managment justified.

Answer
Well, various states have rules on towing laws and parking laws, and then Cities also have rules and regulations regarding towing and parking...

But since you did not list where you were, then I have no way to say if it was right or wrong...

BUT, you say you did not find any parking spaces and so you parked in a "unauthorized location"  (parking spaces so I parked near a wall in the parking garage but it was not blocking anyone or impeding any movement)..

So you were not in a space at all, and you pay for parking in a space...

Basically, you were in the wrong and as such suffered the penalty for illegal parking...
Remember the parking garage has rules also, about what is allowed... And it sounds like you are just out of luck here. You did break the rules and as such they towed you...

Signs or not (that is part of the state or city laws issue again) does not mean they can tow, or not tow... There has to be a reason to tow, and the tow company has to have a signed authorization (in most places) to do the tow.
