Towing Issues: Towing a crew cab, tow dolly, gmc sierra

I am moving cross country. I'll be renting a Penke moving truck and need to tow my 2003 Gmc Sierra 2500 hd crew cab either on a car carrier or with a tow dolly behind the rental truck. There seems to be no answers out there on what could possibly work. Thanks

well the biggest problem this would have would be the weight of the GMC on either the tow dolly or the car carrier...

Basically if you are told it can not be done by U Haul (who has big reference guides of what vehicles weigh) then you might have problems trying to get a trailer for it.

I do not think that you want the trailer to have problems with your vehicle on it behind the moving truck. After all trailer issues can and do cause problems when driving...

But since this issue is one where the real answer depends on the weight of your vehicle...
I have searched a few sites and I have seen information as to the weight of your truck ranging anywhere from 4800 pounds to almost 10000 pounds..
2 or 4 wheel drive, diesel engines all affect the weight of the truck.
