Towing Issues: Towing damage, flatbed tow trucks, rear control arm

Question
I recently had my Ford Taurus towed. When I got it back, the back R/H arm was bent causing havoc to the steering. Are cases like this successful in small claims court? Also is it normal to drag a car onto a flatbed with the car in park and the brake applied? Surely this can not be good for the car.

Answer
aahhh well first of all when vehicles are towed from parking lots and such for illegal parking the keys are not available like when it is broke down and you are there.

That means the vehicle is usually dragged onto the tow truck bed (if it is a flatbed) or lifted if its a regular wheel lift tow truck, in park and brakes set...

One big draw back on doing impounds with flatbed tow trucks are the increased risks of doing damage to the vehicle.

Now if the vehicle has damage from the Right rear control arm (if I read the question right) that means that the vehicle had been hooked in the wrong location as those parts are not designed or capable of the stress...

Now as to will you win in small claims court, your case is only as good as the information you present...

Have lots of information, pictures and such and you might win is the best advise I have.
