Towing Issues: wrongfull tow, small claims court, domino effect

I just recently got towed at my apartment because my tires where on the white line for 190.00$ is there any way I can get my money back from the apartments or from the towing company was I wrongfully towed this was in Austin,Texas

Well I have to say that I am sorry to hear that you got towed...

Yes it seems like a very silly reason to tow the vehicle, but I also see the point in doing such...
First of all your car is what 6 feet wide.. The parking space is 8 or 9 feet wide..  If you were to park on the line the vehicle next to you would have to do the same to be safe and not damaged... Think Domino effect here... Soon someone would be in 2 spaces down the middle ...

I have to say also (a bit of a rant here) that people do not really consider this a problem but I can see it as a lack of control or driving ability issue...


I do not think you would have much luck getting the money back as I am sure your apartment has rules and regulations regarding parking in the lease..  But you do know that you could always go the small claims court route.. Never know how the judge will rule.

Sorry to not have good information for you which you were looking for, but this is one of those lessons we all tend to have to learn at times..
