Towing Issues: towing, drag car, trailer weight

I'm looking at buying a 1993 Chevy 20 series van w/ a 5.7 liter.  I want to tow my drag car (2700 lbs) on a flat trailer.  Would this van be sufficient?

Assuming the van is in good shape, it should handle the load easily, but it does make a difference what gears are in the rear axle and what transmission. Does the 2700 pounds include the trailer?  IF not, then you have to add in the trailer weight.  Some enclosed trailers can weigh 2000 to 3000 pounds by themselves.  Make sure of your total load, including spare parts/tires/engines etc.  Along with coolers/tools etc.
