Toyota Repair: 86 Toyota Celice GT, toyota celice, salvage yard

Question
My Toyota was runnung great but sometimes would not turn over in the morning. I replaced battery and it seemed to work fine. I tried starting it (after I had driven it for a while) and it turned over but would not start. I checked and have no spark. I replaced coil as it was giving me weird readings on multimeter but still have no spark. Can you help??

Answer
Distributor failures are common on these model celicas, there are no parts available for them and the best way to deal with this is to just replace it, you can save a lot of money by getting a used one from a salvage yard or a remanufactured one from an autoparts store, the dealer gets around $500.
