Toyota Repair: brake lights dont work, brake light switch, shift lock

Hello,
My brake lights won't go on anymore. I hooked a trailer up to my 2001 Tacoma and noticed they don't work anymore. Well I change the brake light switch and nothing. One other thing is that, I have to push down a button ( in front of the shifter ) manually to engage the autmatic transmission. Any thoughts?

You have no power in the brake light circuit,
check your fuses.
The fuse is labeled STOP. The brake light signal is also the input to the shift lock override. That way when you step on the brake you can take it out of gear.
