Toyota Repair: Avalon Cabin Air Filter Replacement, cabin air filter, shock absorber

I have the 2002 Avalon LS and would like to know how to replace the cabin air filter.  I can't tell what I need to remove to get to the filter to replace with a new one.  I have looked at the glove compartment and am unsure what to disassemble.  Thanks Rick Hunt

It's located behind the glove compartment, disconnect the retaining rod on the right side, it looks like a small shock absorber, then you can squeeze the sides of the glove box in to make it drop down, there is a gray cover, this is the filter undo the clips on the sides and it will pull out.
