Volkswagen Repair: 99 Golf GL horn - short?, horn button, slow speeds

My horn randomly honks when I make turns at slow speeds.  I assume there is some short.  Can you tell me what fuse I can pull or what I can do to simply disable the horn?  I don't want to start taking the steering wheel apart because it has an airbag and I am not an expert.  I don't need the horn to work, just want it to be silent.  It is aggravating and embarrassing.

There is a fuse, but it will disable your alarm on the car too.  The fuse is located in one of the openings that show an open book on the fuse card.  This means that you have to consult the VW data base for repair information.  In your driveway, test each one of those fuses, without driving, until you find the right one.  This could take some time, so just be patient, and keep trying the horn button.  You'll find it.  Good luck.
