Volkswagen Repair: timing and eng. start up, flywheel bolt, keywordsearch

the problem i have now is that when i start my eng. it starts up but it won't stay on it feels like if i bolt something too much in lbs.!!!would it be the flywheel bolt or the case bolts.!! i bolt everything going by the book chart, any suggestions on what might be the problem pls. let my know. Also what is the timing mark on a set of 44mm webers and the gap of the valve & the rocker arms [1.25 scat].
the rods are at the correct length i think but i am going to follow your adv. about theself adjust rod from motorworks.!!!!

Max, thank you for your additional question.  I doubt a stock fuel pump could deliver the needed flow.  You may have to switch to a Holley Red with regulator available through Summit Racing (http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?Ntt=holley+red&Ntk=KeywordSearch&DDS=1... )
