Question
I bought this car for 400dollars it runs but it is a project car. motor wise the only thing i see is it idles up and down when in drive stopped but put it in neutral and it runs smooth. it has a small miss at idle but runs smooth in transit. it doesnt run hot or bog down very responsive when called upon no engine/trans leaks but there is a small manifold leak im in bryan texas close to houston, waco, austin texas what do you think and any idea of where to get body parts like fenders and grill

Answer
Darrell,
Sounds like my story with my last Convertible.  You should check the ICV and clean it, this might solve the idle issue.  Also there is a sensor on the thermostat housing that can cause the engine to run wierd as well.  O2 sensor should probably be changed since I'm sure it's not a low mileage vehicle.  You can use a Ford V8 02 sensor to save some money (I have done this).  It's the same sensor, but you will have to remove the Ford connector and solder your's on. ($35 vs. $150).

I live in the Atlanta area, and I'm mostly familiar with the East coast as far as parts sources.  Ebay is a great place to find deals on stuff for our cars, and it's cheap too.
I would join some online message boards and sometimes those guys have parts they sell at discounted prices.

 Good luck,
 Josh
