Cadillac: Delco-Bose amp, high pitch sound, bose sound system


Question
We found out that we have amp speakers but we only have one speaker workin the other 3 have a high pitch sound so what would cause that to happen? Do I have to replace the other 3 or is the 3 speakers blowen? Really confused on this! Thanks so much, Sheila

We have an 1991 cadillac fleetwood with delco bose sound system and it has a bad amp but we dont know where the amp is located in that year of car can you hep me out to where i can find the amp ASAP, Sheila

Answer -
There is NO AMP in a 1991 fleetwood. It has amplified speakers. All it has is some fuses in the underhood fuse panel and a relay in the fuse panel.

Do the speakers sound distorted or do they whine ?. The diagnosis depends upon what type of sound that they make.
