Ford: my break lights wont go off, brake light switch, possibilities

i drive a 2003 ford taurse se and my brake lights wont go off

2 possibilities  wiring problem  or brake light switch has failed.
Do all other lights work correctly?  Was something else worked on prior?  was it in an accident? or has a trailer connector been installed??


Unplug the brake light switch and see if the lights go out. If they do, make sure switch is correctly adjusted. if adjustment seems correct and lights only go out with switch disconnected, then you will need to replace and adjust the switch
