Is there any way to tell if my Mustang GT is an original
from the Vin number on the car?  It has been parted out so
the fog lamps, fog switch, rear valance are all missing.

Go to http://www.martiauto.com/    There, you can order a report through Kevin Marti. He has exclusive rights to all Fords production records from 1967 to 1979. There is a standard report, a deluxe report and an elite report you can order. Each one has a different level of information regarding your cars production numbers. The standard report will most likely tell you if it came with the GT Equipment Package.  Rhonda :)
