Honda: Flashing D4 on dashboard, honda accord, transmission problems

Yesterday, the "D4" on my dashboard started flashing as I was driving.  My car is a 1994 Honda Accord 4-Door.  The "Check Engine" light went on, too, but the car simply needed coolant and that went away.  What does the flashing "D4" mean?  Transmission problems?  Please help!  Thanks, Jen

It looks like you lost your overdrive.  I have actually never heard of D4 flashing as an indicator.  Usually drivers will notice that the tranny does not shift into the higher gear.  If you notice this problem, then you can either wait until you need a full rebuild...or get it repaired now.
