Engine was not hot at the time I dried off eninge and tried to start it up, now it seems my engine is mis-firing it sputters and idles out, my car is a 2000 honda prelude and i was trying to diagnose the problem but i don't know how to use the diagnotic reader. please help

Answer
Ruben,
Gunk Engine Brite is great, I didn't have problems with it.  You say you covered the distributor...how well did you cover it?  Was it covered before or after you sprayed the Gunk?  You may want to take it apart and clean it.  Water in there will create a spark problem.  Also, while it's apart, just get a new distributor; I think they're like $25.00.  My favorite thing to do is reset the ECU, by pulling out the fuse most likely labeled "back-up".  This is in case the problem came and went, but left the computer in "limp mode".  Do these things and see if you fixed the problem.

Good luck Ruben,
Barrett.
