Honda: Convertible top, upholstery shop, magic marker

Question
My S2000 appears to have paint on the top...Any idea on how to get it off...I have cleaned it with regular converitible top cleaners...and nothing has come off...It's about 2 inches long and about 1/2 inch wide spot of white...I am pretty sure it is paint...thanks

Answer
My first point of action would be hitting an upholstery shop.  I know of one in my town that specializes in convertible tops.  Otherwise, you could get some black paint or a magic marker.  This may sound foolish, but if you simply cannot get the paint off, then you may have no other option.
On another note.  Please check behind the driver's head on the left (inner part of the top) for signs of wear.  Some early models have problems with this and you may be due for a new top anyway.
There will be an identical spot on the passenger's side as well.
Also, whatever you may use to get this stain (could be tree-sap) off could degrade the top's water resistant qualities, which would be worse.  Please use caution.
Hope I helped.
