Honda: I have disabled my alarm etc, fuse box, dash board

Question
I have a 2001 model S2000. I bought it last year and it's totally standard. On the centre consule there is a little red light which flashes for the alarm / immobileiser. I have nipped the wire to this light and earthed it. I think I have blown a fuse ( I hope ) and the light doesn't work, the electronic button on the key ring won't open the doors and I have to use the key. The green key symbol on the dash board is active all the time so the car can be started at any time. Usually you have about 15 seconds to start the car or you have to press the button on the key ring to reset it again. I have checked the main fuses under the dash and under the bonnet. Can you help.

Answer
First off, I would reverse what I'd done to the car.  Reconnect the wire.
Then proceed to reset the car's ECM:  Refer to this picture as a guide.  It is located in the fuse box inside the car.

The fuse labeled back up is the one for the ECM.  If you live in USA the very top slot will be empty, leaving the second fuse from the top (but third slot) the one to pull.  With the car off, pull it and leave it out for at least one minute.  With the fuse in, start the car.

If you don't mind, explain why the wire was cut in the first place.
Thanks,
