Hyundai: Alarm system, hyundai coupe se 03 model, hyundai coupe, car alarms

Question
Hi, I have unfortunately dropped the alarm fob off my key ring and down a grate which I cant retrieve. The alarm constantly sounds when im driving or open the doors. I have rung hyundai but they say they will need to take the whole system out and fit another. I do have a spare fob which has batteries but does not work. This happened a couple of years ago and the RAC man who came out knew the buttons to press on it to reset it and make it work. Hyundai say this is impossible but it happened in front of me! I would really appreciate it if anyone knows how to do it to save me a fortune! The alarm fob is seperate from the key and has two oblong buttons on, one for the central locking and one that tests the alarm. Thanks very much. If possible, please reply to both addresses as I might not get the one to my work address. Thanks again, Andy

Answer
Hi Andy, sorry it took so long to get in touch, my computer has been acting up on me. Well it sounds like you have a real problem. You have an aftermarket alarm system, so my best advice to you is to take it back to the RAC man to reset if yopu can, if not then try this link http://www.allexperts.com/el/Car-Alarms/ and maybe someone there can help. I'm really sorry but I don't really know much about keyless entry remote thats not made from the Hyundai Factory. I wish I could help.
