Hyundai: 3rd and 4th gear?, hyundai accent, dirty air

I have a 2004 Hyundai accent with automatic transmission. When I drive it sometimes I notice that my car won't shift to final gear during the the first 15 minutes. It usually happens when the car is started from a cold start. Is this a problem?

Hi Richard, sorry it took so long to get back with you. Its not really a big problem. Your transmission may have problem shifting because of dirty air filter, clogged fuel injectors.  I would recommend a full tune up, make sure your fuel injectors are not clogged or new. One thing you can try is to buy the fuel injector treatment. Pour that into your gas tank before refueling and see if that makes a difference. Or your air flow belt need to be change, but before doing that try the other things first.
