Mercedes: Value of an 85 Mercedes 300 Turbo Diesel, kelly blue book, paint work

Hello there, I'm trying to find what I should offer someone who has a great
looking 85 Mercedes 300SD. She is the second owner, apparently the first
only put 75 000 miles on it. I think the mileage is still under 100K. Paint-
work is great, interior looks great, haven't had a chance to look under the
hood yet, but hope to do that in the next couple of days. Just need a ballpark
idea of price, from excellent condition, to average. Thanks very much for this
service!

As the saying goes. Only worth what someone is willing to pay. You could check the Kelly Blue book page on line to see what they think it is worth.
Or you could go to ebay and insert this vehicle to see what the general price range is.
Just remember that parts are becoming less available and they are very over priced from the dealer, and if  a problem arises, you can be into a repair that would far exceed the purchase price of the vehicle.
