Mercedes: 107 carpet, fistfull of dollars, industrial upholstery

Question
Is there a set of patterns available for the carpet for a 107, 1975 450SL.  I have a very tight woven loop carpet available that is very close to the original and would love to save a fistfull of dollars in the interior rehab.
Many thanks, Gary

I expect there are no patterns available. You could remove the seats and construct a template from a light weight vinyl or fabric. This would allow you to get all the correct dimensions before cutting the new carpet.
Just make sure you mark the top and then you will be able to lay your carpet face down and then lay the top down while using a Sharpe Pen to mark the outline.
Using a very sharp carpet knife you should be able to do a good job with the replacement carpet.
Just remember that if you have foot wells that you will need to allow extra for any drop to fill these depressions.
I you have access to an industrial upholstery maching you could sew a binding around the edge to keep the carpet from raveling. Or you could probably have a local auto upholstery shop do the work.
Or, if you would like to ship the cut pieces to me I can sew the binding on the carpet for a fee.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck
