Nissan: nissan sunny 2.0 gti cut out, nissan sunny, distributor cap

Question
The engine is a sr20de (2.0 non turbo) i think it also can be called a pulsar but in England it is called a sunny, it is a 93 model and by far the best motor five owned, apart from this one problem that is bothering me and i miss driving it, i hope the information can help you help me solve this problem.

Hi i hope you can help, i have a quite rare nissan sunny 2.0 gti 93 model hatch, and it keeps cutting out, ive changed the distributor, distributor cap plugs and leads but yet it keeps cutting out, it doesnt matter what speed im going when it cuts out, i leave it for a few minutes and it starts up ok and can run great

What motor is in this Sunny, what year is it and what is is called in the US.

That would be a Sentra SER here in the US. This will be tuff for you to repair. You will need to find out whats missing when it cuts out. Are you loosing spark or fuel? Most likely it will be spark you are loosing. You may want to try swapping out the distributor with a use one, especially if you do not have any testing equip.
